Safeguarding at Cansfield High School

At Cansfield High School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our young people. We believe that all students, regardless of age, gender, disability, racial / cultural heritage, religious belief or sexual orientation have the right to be protected from all types of harm and abuse. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and all adults have a full and active part in protecting our students from harm. We ensure the contentious development and improvement of robust safeguarding processes and procedures that promote a culture of safeguarding without our staff and volunteers. All staff and volunteers undertake a full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. All staff receive annual Child Protection and Safeguarding update training and are aware of the procedures for passing on concerns within the school.

See About Us / Policies for key documents that include:

  • Anti-Bullying Policy
  • Attendance Policy
  • Behaviour Policy
  • Exclusion Policy
  • Physical Intervention Policy
  • Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy
  • Sharing of Nudes and Semi-Nudes Policy

When any concern about the welfare of a student is raised, staff will always act in the best interests of our students to enable them to have the best outcomes.
