On the last day of term, Mr Briggs, DofE Manager, attended the Gold DofE Award garden party at Buckingham Palace. This was hosted by HRH Prince Edward, to celebrate the young people that have achieved their Gold DofE Award. The event included speeches from Katya Jones, Sara Davies MBE, David Seaman MBE, and Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes MBE.
Cansfield High School is now the largest DofE centre in both Wigan and the north of Greater Manchester. From September, we will be launching the Silver Award for the upcoming year 10 students.
Thank you to all parents and students for your commitment to the Bronze Award, and we are looking forward to the Expedition in July.
