Moreover, we recognise our responsibility to support the health and happiness of our students and not just academic results, and work on the basis that every child should be happy, healthy, engaged, supported and challenged to grow in our educational environment.
We believe that for our students to flourish, they must be recognised as individuals. We seek to develop our student’s full potential by fostering individual talents and interests. Through participating in extracurricular activities (be it sports, the performing arts or another area of interest) character is built, creativity is sparked and talents are fostered.
The skills that pupils develop – individuality, perseverance, ambition – complement our balanced curriculum which has breadth as well as depth. Our extracurricular activities programme helps increase social awareness, social skills, group responsibility and empathy amongst peers, whilst promoting our core values.
Our activities are offered to enable our students to broaden their horizons and develop into well-rounded individuals. This provision allows our students to have an opportunity to engage in activities that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to engage with outside of school. It is our aim to enable our students to sample, enjoy and flourish from a broad range of activities and pursuits.
We strive to allow our students to extend their enjoyment of particular areas of learning through more in-depth study. Moreover, we encourage our students to develop friendships between age groups and build a cooperative ethos where students are achieving excellence together. We aim to provide a progressive universalist approach, offering activities in the following areas and beyond.
