From their very first day, it was clear that this group is full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and potential. The transition from primary to secondary school is a big step, and our dedicated staff, along with Year 9 and 10 PALS and form tutors, worked hard to make sure every student felt supported and settled.
Throughout their first few weeks, Year 7 students took part in a carefully planned induction programme. They toured the school grounds, met their teachers, learned how to use their timetables, and tackled their first lessons in new subjects such as Design & Technology and French. There were plenty of smiles as students discovered new interests and made their first secondary school friends.
Head of Year 7, Mrs Owen, said:
“It’s been a fantastic start. Our new students have shown real resilience and positivity. We’re so proud of how quickly they’re adapting and getting involved.”
We are already seeing Year 7s participate enthusiastically in clubs, school council elections, and lunchtime activities. From the football field to the art room, they are making their mark and embracing the wide range of opportunities available to them.
We are thrilled to have this vibrant and promising group join our school. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead for the Lions of 2030 — full of growth, learning, and new beginnings!
