Lille Christmas Markets

At the end of November, a large group of Year 8, 9 and 10 students, accompanied by Mrs Jones and the MFL team, had a fabulous experience when we visited to Lille. The French city offered many treats, including shopping and chocolate decorating.

We started our first day, in France, with a breakfast at our accommodation then travelled to the medieval town of Boulogne where we wandered around the city walls before ordering food in French. Everyone was very kind and understanding as we attempted to speak their language!

Next, we travelled to the Christmas markets in Lille for some retail therapy. The atmosphere was amazing. There were some wonderful stalls and everyone was friendly. Returning to the hotel, we had a Christmas dinner waiting for us. This was made even better with most people having brought their Christmas jumpers to wear!

On our last morning, we were packed and ready to leave early, for the final treat – a visit to P&J Chocolate Factory for some chocolate decorating. With lots of chocolate to buy as well, we had lots of festive fun.
